The works will be an originals and accompanied by a brief biography, including photo, address and phone number.

The Organizer is entitled for all reproduction right for any cartoon registered in competition.
The Organizer dose not assume any responsibility for any breaches of copyright, exclusive responsibility lies with the one who sent the cartoon.
The cartoons that will win the first, second and third prize should be sent mandatory in original version to the Organizer.
In the absence of interbank relations between Romania and the country of origin of the winner, the Organizer is relieved of any liability.
By submitting the works to International Rhubarb Cartoons Contest 2019, the artist accept the decisions of the jury and the rules printed above.

The organizer of the competi ti on is OSTEN Skopje, Republic of Macedonia
• The SELECTOR assigned by the organizer will select the submitt ed works, and the INTERNATIONAL JURY will appraise the short-listed works.
• The offi cial announcement of the awards and the opening of the exhibiti on will take place on 26th September 2019 at the Nati onal Gallery of Macedonia in Skopje. 

CRITERIA
• The following categories of original works will be considered: cartoons, sati rical drawing, comic/strip (up to one panel of non-linguisti c strip)

SUBMISSION
• In principle, ORIGINAL, hand-drawn works are expected. Only if the author works exclusively in digital technique, printed DIGITAL WORKS numbered and signed in pencil on the front will be considered
 * Note: only original works will be considered for the OSTEN Museum of Drawing
• The ORIGINAL WORKS by the cartoonists from newer producti on, which have not previously been published or awarded, will be considered. Cartoons that are deemed by the jury to be identi cal or closely similar to the known works by another author - will NOT be judged.
 * Note: according to the organizer’s directi ons, the selector and the internati onal jury will pay parti cular att enti on to the visual expression of the submitt ed works

PRESENTATION
• The awarded and selected works will be exhibited at the Nati onal Gallery of Macedonia from 26th September to 16th October 2019
• In the same ti me (from 26th September to 16th October 2019) a joint exhibiti on of the FINALISTS that were in the closest competi ti on for the GRAND PRIX will take place at the OSTEN Gallery
• For the award-winning authors and Grand Prix fi nalists who will be present in Skopje during the opening of the exhibiti on and presentati on awards ceremony, OSTEN will produce print portf olios of their works
• The awarded authors receive appropriate Certi fi cates and printed copy of the catalog via post mail. Their works remain in the OSTEN Collecti on
• All others receive appropriate Certi fi cates and catalog in .pdf via e-mail. The ones, who would like to have the Certi fi cate / catalog in hard copy, can order it for a price of 30 $ and they will be sent to the appointed address by registered post mail.

Theme 
The Karakter Kommunikációs Iroda invites all professional and amateur cartoonists, 
satirical artists and graphic designers to an international illustration contest with the 
theme:  
Wake up! This isn’t the 20th century anymore. The world is changing. Will it be better? 
Or worse? It also depends on us. Things used to be done differently. But now we have 
the opportunity to make a change. Show us what you think about the relationship 
between mankind and nature in the 21st century.

General rules 
Entries can be sent via post or e-mail to the organiser of the contest. 
Size of entries received by post should be A/3. 
Cartoons sent by emails should be in JPG format (300 dpi), sized at about 2500 pixels 
wide if in portrait format and 3500 pixels wide if in landscape format. 

Competition details 
  All participants must be 14 or older. 
  Previously published cartoons are not allowed for submission. 
  Each competitor is allowed to participate in the competition with a maximum 
of 3 cartoons.

Jury 
Works will be judged by a professional jury. The jury will automatically disqualify any 
submission deemed offensive or inappropriate or any submission that violates

A notification of the result of the competition will be sent to the provided email 
address by 6. May 2019. 
Exhibition 
The best pictures will be part of an environmental awareness exhibition, which will be 
accompanying significal events and will be presented as a travelling exhibition as 
well. 
The works of the exhibition will be seen on the homepage and on the facebook site 
of Zöldbicikli Productions.

XII International Contest Snail Graphic Humor Lleida /Spain 2019

Rules
1 Any professional artist or amateur can participate in this contest.
2 The subject of the contest is the SNAIL.
3 The participants can send a maximum of 3 works to compete, as long as they have not been awarded previously in another contest.
4 The works (only in frame, you can’t send strips or comics) can be made with any pictorial technique, with unique format of A-4 size (210 mm X 297 mm) or proportional.
5 It will only be accepted works without words, in Catalan, Spanish or English language.
6 We only accept works sent to the following e-mail: tecnologia@ grupoam.com  where you can send 3 images which have to be A4 format or a similar one and with an acceptable resolution for printing.
We will not accept any work sent by mail.
7 The term of work admission finalizes on the 6th April 2019.
8 The works must go accompanied of a card that includes the name, surnames, address, telephone and photographs or cartoon of the author.
9 An only prize will be granted, to the winning work, of 1,012 euros (amount on which the tax deduction will apply); and the trip to Lleida for two people and, if therefore it expressed the winner, two nights of lodging in the city with dates to establish by the organization to attend the collection of the prize that will give on 31th of May 2019, coinciding with the inauguration of the XL Aplec del Caragol. It is recommended not to vary the dates of the trip since the expenses that any change of the arranged date generates are in charge of the winner.
10 The decision of the jury will be unquestionable.
11 The Jury will be composed by people representig the Fecoll, Azul Marino Viatges and Escola Ermengol.
12 The decision of the Jury will be notified to the winner during the last two week of April 2019 by electronic mail and it will be later published to the Web of Escola Ermengol www.escolaermengol.cat (Instagram, Facebook) and of Fecoll www.aplec.org
13 The author of the winning work will have to give the original work, in hand or by certified mail properly protected, to the organization of the contest during the first fortnight of May. If the work is done by digital, a copy signed by hand by the artist it will have to be send.

14 A maximum of 50 works, selected by the jury, they will be exhibited in the Fecoll social place or, if necessary, in other enclosures.
15 The electronic version of works could be visited the virtual gallery that will be published after the websites of Escola Ermengol and Fecoll.
16 The organizers reserve the right to spread and to reproduce the winning work and the other selected, only during the promotion of the Aplec and this aid in futures convocations, out express authorization of the author or author, and without that represents no obligation respect of the artist.
17 The participation in the contest supposes the complete acceptance and without reserve of these bases. Any doubt that can arise will be solved by the Jury.

Theme: Gender Equality and Equal Rights
About the project:
“Gender Equality and Equal Rights” is a Global movement to promote Gender Equality and Equal Rights through organizing International cartoon contest and exhibition.
This project is an initiative of Arifur RAHMAN. He is a Bangladeshi – Norwegian cartoonist, former guest cartoonist of ICORN. This project is a collaboration with Avistegnernes Hus (The Norwegian Cartoonists’ Gallery), Drøbak, Norway.
Theme: Gender Equality & Equal Rights
Requirements for participating:
1- All participants must be 13 or older and open to all artists from all over the world.
2- The cartoon has to be new, never published before.
3- Submitted cartoons can be in color or black and white, in any style or technique.
4- Participants may send a maximum of five works. In the case of including text, it must be in English.
5- Cartoons with artist’s C.V., address (in text or doc. format) and a personal photo have to be sent to the following email address: equality@toonsmag.com

6- Size: A3, JPG format with 300 DPI, wide or landscape format.
7- Deadline: 30th of September 2019
Awards and Prizes:
First prize: NOK 5 000, or 5 000 PTS.
Second prize: NOK 3 000, or 3 000 PTS.

Jury:

The jury members can be participants only in the exhibition.
Exhibitions:
It will be a traveling exhibition. So, selected cartoons will be exhibited in Norway, India so far and can be exhibited in some other countries. Cartoons can be used for promotion purposes (printing, exhibition, websites, newspapers, online and electronic media, catalog, posters, and invitation cards).
We will publish the results of the contest on the first of November 2019.
The photos of the exhibition will be published on the Toons Mag’s home page and on social media.

After the contest, we will announce the date and time of the exhibition opening.
