INTRODUCTION:

In commemoration of its 15th Anniversary, SMP IT (Junior High School) PAPB Semarang in collaboration with the Gold Pencil Indonesia,

will hold "PAPB International Cartoon Festival 2019" on 10th-16th February 2019. The festival will involve all students and professional cartoonists throughout the world.

PAPB International Cartoon Festival 2019 will be going to be packaged in exhibitions and cartoon workshops for students.

THEME: "Unity in Diversity"

CATEGORIES:
This festival is divided into two categories. Please include categories when sending works.

1. Professional Category
2. Students Category: open for the cartoonists who are 16 and younger (under 16).

DEADLINE: 1st February 2019

THE CRITERION OF WORKS:

1. This cartoon festival can be followed by all cartoonists from all over the world.
2. Cartoon must be colorful, black and white are not allowed.
3. Please send your cartoon work to: goldpencil.id@gmail.com

4. File size / format: minimum size: 1 MB; maximum size:15 MB; file format: JPG;

Resolution: 300 dpi; Color mode: RGB. In other words the work must be safe and good to be printed on A3 paper.
5. Each cartoonist is entitled to submit maximum 5 (five) cartoons.
6. Cartoons are the cartoonists original idea.
7. The copyright of the work of the contest remains in each cartoonist.
8. The committee is entitled to use the work received for the purposes of publication, branding and others that are still relevant to the festival.

18. OLIVE FESTIVAL8. INTERNATIONAL “OLIVE” CARTOONS CONTEST – 2019

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION(KYRENIA – CYPRUS)
⦁    The contest is open to all amateur or professional cartoonist or any one who could submit a cartoon regardless individual's race, gender, religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, age, or other protected characteristic. 
⦁    Themes: Olive, Olive and Time, Olive and History, Olive and Mythology, Olive and Technology, Olive and Cyprus, Olive and Life, Olive and Peace, Olive and Conflict, Olive and War, Olive and Health, Olive and Women, Olive and Men, Olive and Children, Olive Oil, Olive Branch, Olive Tree, Benefits of Olive, Olive and Olive Mill/Press, Banning of Uprooting, Burning and Cutting Down Olive Trees and so forth.
⦁    All Submissions must be in the form of cartoon. Any painting or illustrations will not be accepted and will be disqualified. Cartoons must be without words
⦁    All submissions must be originals. Submission dimensions: A4 or A3 in any color or black and white. Each entrant must provide name and surname, address, phone number including country code, and email address on the back of the submission; each entrant should also provide short background and a photo (optional) on a separate A4.
⦁    Submission of materials, which has previously been submitted and or presented and or published elsewhere, is welcomed providing copyright is not infringed, however previously any award wining material cannot be submitted.
⦁    All work submitted for evaluation by the International Selection Committee and work of finalist will be published at official web page of the contest. In addition submissions will be reviewed and evaluated for plagiarism by international associations. If Plagiarism detected and or any previously award wining material submitted, submissions will be canceled and the next eligible entry will be considered for the prize.
⦁    Entrants could submit more than one work, however no more than one award will be awarded to participants. 
⦁    All submission must be received by APRIL 30, 2019 at the address provided below.
⦁    All submission, awarded or not, will be kept and archived by Cypriot – Turkish Cartoonist Association at the newly established “International Cyprus Cartoon Museum.”
⦁     All prize winner submissions and selected works by the Steering Committee will be published in a album. In addition, the 18th Olive Festival will be exhibited in 2019.
⦁     The results of the contest will be published thru media and prizing winning entrants will be informed by contact information provided.
⦁     Kyrenia Municipality will provide travel and boarding expenses for three prize winners as stated in the terms and conditions of the contest.

The prize – winning cartoonist must respond to the prize ceremony invitation within 10 days. The responses outside of 10 days are not considered.
⦁     The Kyrenia Municipality and Cypriot – Turkish Cartoonist Association will have the publishing rights to publish or print, in any media or format, any or all submissions.
⦁     All persons entering the contest agree that the rules of the contest as set out in these terms and conditions are binding on them. The competition is open to all Indian cartoonists. Participants can send a maximum of three political cartoons first published in the Newspapers, Magazines, News portals/Websites between January 1 and December 31, 2018. Cartoons published in regional languages should be accompanied by an English translation of the text. The date and the name of the Publication in which the cartoon has appeared should be furnished.

Best Foreign Cartoon Award-2018
Prize 1: $200
Prize 2: $100

Open to all non-Indian cartoonists. Other rules as above. All entries must be accompanied by soft copies of the cartoons published in the Newspapers, Magazines and News portals/Websites to be considered for the Award.

Best Budding Cartoonist /Award-2018
Prize: Rs. 10,000
Participants aged 25 years and younger as on January 1, 2019 can send their published/unpublished cartoons and caricatures [maximum of six] along with copies of the publication in which these have appeared [if any]. Entries in regional languages should be accompanied by an English translation of the text.

The organizers of the current edition of the festival are: Bistrița Trade Union House of Culture, with the support of:

Bistrița City Hall (Local Council), Bistrița Palace of Culture, National Association of Culture House of Unions in Romania,

Romanian Epigrams Association, Bistrița Pomicol Resort and Bistritan Humor Association..

The XXX-th International Satirical Graphic Contest „Golden Aplle” – Bistrița, takes place on April

12 – 14, 2019 and it is addressed to all cartoonists around the world.

The contest is structured on two subsections:

1. Subsection Humorous drawing with the theme: „Pome d’or”;
2. Subsection Cartoon with the theme: Portraits of the writers: George Coşbuc, Liviu Rebreanu and Andrei Mureşanu,

personalities born in Bistriţa – Năsăud County;

Up to 5 works per theme can be submitted. The drawings will be accompanied by a CV in Romanian or English, which will contain: name and surname, address, contact phone, e-mail, country, city. The works can be sent in original form by post to the following address:

The deadline for submitting the works is March 25, 2019.

Selected works for awards will be included in the 2019 Gold Satiric Art Salon.
A personal exhibition of a graphic artist from the country or abroad will be organized at the Salon, which will be rewarded with a special prize of the jury.
The entries in the competition will be funded by a jury of outstanding personalities from the field.

The contest is open to all cartoonists all over the world, over the age of 18, regardless of nationality, religion, gender and education. B. Cartoon theme: Children & animalsC. Entries - Send by e-mail on address: info@animalcartoon.net . Only the original cartoons (up to 5) in digital form send by e-mail will be accepted.
Digital works (A4, 250 dpi, JPEG or TIFF, the maximum length per one cartoon 3 MB)

Condensed file zip, rar, etc...WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

The festival is opened for everyone regardless of nationality, age, sex, or profession.B.THEME

Conditions of entry:
1. Original works and digital artworks will be accepted. Digital
artwork is to be numbered in pencil on the front and pencil
signed. Copies cannot be admitted.
2. Entries can be either black and white or coloured.
3. There should be the name, the surname and the adress on the
reverse side of cartoons.
4. The cartoons must not have been previously awarded on
festivals.
5. Maximum 3 entries will be submitted.
